“India’s Historic Lunar Triumph: Vikram Lander Makes Groundbreaking Touchdown”

At 6:04 local time, a lander carrying a wanderer touched down on the lunar surface, prompting applause and praise from the space scientists present in Bengaluru, a city in southern India. India made history by being the first nation to land close to the remote South Pole location after a bombing mission nearly a long time ago, joining the US, the Soviet Union, and China in landing on the moon.

India’s successful landing occurred just days after Russia’s Luna-25, which was not retaining anything in the lunar area, spun out of control and crashed. It would have been the first significant lunar landing in Russia in 47 years. The head of Russia’s state-run space company Roscosmos attributed the failure to a lack of expertise as a result of the protracted absence of lunar exploration since the previous Soviet trip to the moon in 1976.

On Wednesday, state leader Narendra Modi praised India after Chandrayaan 3’s Vikram lander successfully touched down on the Moon’s South Pole.

In his address to the ISRO researchers, Modi, who witnessed the momentous second primarily from Johannesburg in South Africa, said, “This is noteworthy development and sounds the cornet for a created India.”

“A significant day for India’s space programme. Congratulations to @isro for the historic success of Chandrayaan-3,” the state chief wrote on X.He stated, “Even though I may be in South Africa, my heart will always belong to the Chandrayaan mission.”On July 14, the Chandrayaan 3 mission was launched aboard an LVM-3 rocket for a 41-day trek to a location near the lunar south pole.

Days after Russia’s Luna-25 spacecraft impacted with the Moon after exploding, the Vikram lander made a gentle touchdown.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the achievement and referred to it as a noteworthy development that signifies progress for India. He congratulated ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization) and expressed his support for the Chandrayaan mission.

The Chandrayaan 3 mission was launched on July 14 and was destined for a location near the lunar South Pole.
